I recently had the honor of once again being part of the amazing magazine Poets/Artists (pages 25-26-27) and honored to say that I'm also the back cover :). It was a collaboration issue. I was given the privilege to work with the amazing poet Donna Hilbert. Donna and I choose the amazing actress Giulietta Masina, the wife of director Federico Fellini as our muse. Donna's poem will make your heart skip a beat... it truly tells the tale of Masina's magnificent life on and off stage. I think both our work melded beautifully together :)

The Cover of Poets/Artists!... It's been a great week:)

It has been a fantastic week, the latest issue of Poets/Artists is out and I'm on the cover. Honored is an understatement to be in this magazine with such amazing artists and poets!

I did 8 paintings for this issue, all part of a portrait project where we where asked to paint or write about 8 photos that were preselected. It's been a busy month... well closer to two months :) I have started a series that will be called "Get Your Freak On" ! Inspired by my love of Muppet's :) The first two paintings are shown in progress above and also finishing up a fairytale inspired piece that was actually started some time ago, shown above. Between all the props I already have, my wigs and the 'muppet' accessories that I have made so far, there is no lack of possibilities of how far this series will go :).... Giggitty!!
